We would like to let you know that the GEEP 2.0 Loan registration process has begun, and the GEEP loan portal is currently open. The federal government has chosen NIN as a need for registration, therefore applicants should be aware of this. The GEEP program was launched as one of Nigeria’s National Social Investment programs under the management of NSIO to alleviate poverty in the country.
According to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, in order to improve beneficiary registration procedures moving forward, the Master Trainers used digital applications on the tablets that were provided to them to train 774 COMOs/GEEPDOS spread across Local Government Areas. This was done in advance of the second phase of GEEP 2-0 registration.
The Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme (GEEP) is an initiative of the Federal Government and was created in 2015 to provide Interest-free loans to Medium and Small Scale business owners in Nigerians. All citizens are eligible to apply for this BOI GEEP loan.
GEEP 2.0 is created to assist Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprises with collateral-free loans to enable them to boost their business which directly helps the economy of the nation. To help build these businesses, the GEEP loan programme is currently in 3 categories.
The Ministry also stated that the Government
Enterprise Empowerment Programme (GEEP) has concluded a nationwide Advanced Step-Down Training for its Program Managers, Community Orientation and Mobilization officers (COMOs), and GEEP Desk Officers in the States.
The Team Lead of GEEP 2.0 Hajiya Zainab Musawa made this known at the end of the Advanced Training on GEEP 2.0 Digitization and Registration for GEEP Programme Managers and Master Trainers which ended a week ago.
The three-day interactive training programme
provided a comprehensive framework for
enhancement of the beneficiary registration process and implementation of the digital transformation of GEEP 2.0 which will include tools and techniques to be applied nationwide in Trader Moni, Market Moni, and Farmer Moni.

1.) Trader Moni: Small Scale Traders who need money to expand their business can apply for this category such as fruit sellers, small shop owners, etc.
2.) Farmer Moni: Businesses that need loans in this category have to be registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
3.) Market Moni: Agri-business owners who need funds to grow their businesses are eligible to apply for this category.
It is important to note that this loan ranges from N10,000 to N300,000. Applicants can apply via the GEEP 2.0 loan website www.growthplatform.me. These loans do not need collateral and are interest-free. Loans can be collected for the short term or long term.
