What is NESP?

The full meaning of NESP is Nigerian Economic Sustainability Plan, and it was designed to promote the development of small and large enterprises to grow Nigeria’s Economy.

As part of the Covid-19 recovery strategy, the federal government of Nigeria approved $5.9 billion which is equivalent to N2.3 trillion to stimulate and diversify the economy, create and retain jobs as well as extend protections to the poor.

How Nigerian Economic Sustainability Plan 2023 Grant will be Funded

  • N1.1 trillion from the CBN in a way of lending
  • N500 billion from Special FGN Accounts
  • N302.9 billion from other funding sources
  • N334 billion from external bilateral/multilateral sources

The objective of the Program

The main aim of the program is to engage one hundred thousand Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Production sector and save 1.3 million jobs.
