We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
The Ideal candidate will perform the following roles:

• Reconcile invoices, stock reports, and statements and identify discrepancies.
• Daily posting of Expenses, vouchers & journals.
• Prepare & comparatively analyze the balance sheet, profit or loss statement & expense report.
• Process reimbursement forms.
• Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
• Statutory Filings – Correctly book and process monthly statutory returns including payroll contributions and PAYE, Pensionetc.
• Carryout monthly bank reconciliation of Bank Accounts.
• Prepare and manage schedules for accruals, asset depreciation, and prepaid expenses.
• Participate in stock reconciliation.
• Manage and reconcile all account receivables and payables.
• Perform routine bookkeeping functions as requested by the Head of Finance.
• Gather and monitor financial data like sales revenues and liabilities.
• Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, and purchases.
• Liaise with the sales department to reconcile payables and receivables.
• Disbursing funds necessary for office operations e.g., transport and office supplies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting with requisite experience.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing organisation.
• Extensive experience in inventory management and reconciliation.
• Proficient with Microsoft suite most especially Excel and MS Word
• Good working knowledge of integrated financial management software, preferably SAP ERP.
• Financial report writing abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Great analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Reliability, sound judgment, and discretion.

Salary
N90,000 / month.
