We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Audiologist

Location: Warri, Delta

Job Description

  • The audiologist is responsible for providing high quality audiology services to patients, with hearing problem and balancing disorders. They assist patients in the clinic.

Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:

  • Carry out all audiometric and tympanometry tests including Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) and Auditory Brain Stem Response (ABR).
  • Develop and fashion hearing aid moulds and impressions.
  • Carry out hearing aid assessments and fitting.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and educational and audit programmes of the hospital.
  • Counseling patients with hearing loss.
  • Working closely with the Occupational Health Department in occupational and industrial health screening.
  • Support the ENT Consultant and the Occupational Health team in the provision of diagnosis, evidence-based treatment of hearing and balance disorders for patients and clients.
  • Work closely with patients and clients who have hearing and balance problems for rehabilitative purposes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • The job holder must have a minimum of OND in Audiology / Audiology from a recognized higher institution
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Audiology / Audiology Education from a recognized higher institution is desirable
  • 1 – 2 years experience in Audiology.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of clinical audiology
  • Job holder must exhibit a commitment towards continuous quality improvement.
  • Job holder must be empathetic and portray a caring and professional manner in all aspects of work.
  • The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self-discipline and excellent long-term concentration.
