Safety Intern at the World’s Fifth-largest Dairy Company – Fadac Resources and Services Limited

Fadac Resources and Services Limited – Our client is the fifth-largest dairy company in the world and a cooperative owned by more than 12,500 dairy farmers. They combine traditional craftsmanship and world-class technologies to ensure their products remain closer to nature, from farm to fridge.

Due to expansion, they are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety Intern

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Internship

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards, and report findings to the safety team.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing safety data to identify trends, evaluate safety performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety reports, incident investigations, and safety training records.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees, including safety orientations and toolbox talks
  • Participate in emergency response drills and exercises and help to evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response plans.
  • Support safety audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Creation and dissemination of safety communication materials, including posters, newsletters, and safety alerts.
  • Monitor and ensure the proper use of PPE by employees and assist in PPE inventory management.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 0 – 1 year experience
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices is a plus.
