Similarities between Training and Education

By the term education, we mean learning in the classroom to acquire certain knowledge. Education does not equal to schooling, but it refers to what a person gains while he is in school or college. It is aimed to deliver knowledge about facts, events, values, beliefs, general concepts, principles, etc.  to the students. This helps in developing a sense of reasoning, understanding, judgement and intellect in an individual.

In other hand, the term training implies the act of imparting a special skill or behavior to a person, which is commonly offered to employees of operational level. It is not exactly same as education, which is a process of systematic learning something in an institution that develops a sense of judgment and reasoning in employees.

Education is the acquisition of knowledge through a process of receiving or giving systematic instruction. The term education is often associated with formal education: primary, secondary and tertiary education. In formal education, the students are taught by an educator according to a set curriculum.

Training is the action of teaching or learning practical skills or type of behavior. Training is usually received through specialized courses that target practical skills. Carpentry, medicine, accounting, plumbing, marketing, computer programming are some of the fields where you receive training. Training improves your employability since it teaches you practical skills that are needed for your profession.
