ABSTRACT: This research work is a project on construction of light dimmer. The Light Dimmer Circuit was constructed by the use of traic: a bidirectional trigger diodes which has a break-over rating of 28v to 36v in either direction. Electronic equipment’s are now being unduly used they range from the telephone set through the radio receiver to the computer system. They are used in various ways as can be seen in the chapter four of this work. Light Dimmer can be used in residential homes for dimming filament bulbs not greater than 60 watt connected in series or parallel. It can also be applied in industries for controlling of an electric drill or speed of an electric motor or also used as heat control system.

It can be seen that our comfort and economy derives much benefits from the light dimmer. This paper therefore tries to bring the processes and where dimmer involved. The advantage is to maintain the component which made up the circuit, it can be easily replace when the system stop functioning to it accedes. This has been the one in a firmly simple straight forward manner without involving the aspect of mathematics.

Light Dimmer is an electrical device used in various residential homes theater (Stage lighting). The Dimmer is controlled by a switching circuit is an electronic device, comprising of a triac, two resistor, two capacitors and a variable resistor, lamp holder and bulb.
